Buffyverse fragments

Giles drinking tea by literati
This evening I saved copies of some old fics from my website (so as not to lose them forever when Geocities is taken down later this year). This led to poking around in my Buffyverse fic folder and discovering a bunch of fragments, some of which I kind of like. Since I have no new fic right now, I'll share some old unfinished things.

All Buffyverse, all unfinished and completely unrevised.

Ethan fic about which I remember absolutely nothing )
more Ethan fic )
Larry on graduation day )
start of what I think was going to be a Giles/Xander roadtrip fic )
Oz in Los Angeles after the Angel finale )
Giles/Oz AU )
Giles/Oz and a new flat )
Giles/Oz angsty Christmas fic )
Giles/Oz schmoopy Christmas fic )

Rimmer is a fish
I start a lot more stories than I finish. This means I end up with lots of bits of stories lying around, and often I kind of like them but I also know I'll never finish them.

So I thought I'd post some of them here.

Life on Mars, Gene, 344 words )

Battlestar Galactica, Felix Gaeta, 242 words )

Battlestar Galactica, Felix Gaeta, 2041 words )

Doctor Who, Jack and the Tenth Doctor, 773 words )

Pushing Daisies, Emerson Cod, 240 words )

Blake's 7, Roj Blake, 471 words )

Blake's 7, Roj Blake, 224 words )

The Professionals, Doyle/Bodie/OFC, 2427 words )

Damn, now that I'm re-reading these I wish I'd finished some of them.

Gilesficathon fic

TARDIS
Here, very belatedly, is part of my [info]giles_ficathon story. Written for [info]glimmergirl, who asked for Wesley (pairing preferred), reference to a lexicon or dictionary (preferably Liddel & Scott's Greek-English Lexicon or the Oxford Latin Dictionary), a PG-13 or higher rating, and no hypermasculine, uber!dom Giles or dead!Wesley. Um, I will get to those requirements, 'kay? They're just kind of not in this part.

Title: In Trouble (part 1 of 4)
Pairing: Giles/Wesley, eventually
Rating: NC-17 eventually, this part G.
Summary: Giles is a cautionary tale.
Disclaimer: Not mine, Joss's.

Giles/Oz b&w by Kate
Well, part of a fic, anyway. I plan to finish it soon, though.

Title: Unaccommodated Man (part 1 of 2)
Rating: R
Summary: Giles and Oz are in-between creatures.
Notes: This assumes that "Phases" turned out just a little differently. Thanks to [info]trkkr47 for encouragement and a read-through. Written for the amazing [info]glossing, with love and admiration.

I am an animal / My teeth are sharp and my mouth is full )

ETA: The complete version of this story is here.

TARDIS
Today is the Ethanficathon due date. And my story is kind of not done. And I feel horrendously guilty.

So, with apologies, here is part one. The rest will follow in the next few days.

Um, you may notice that Ethan isn't exactly in it yet. He'll be in the next part.

Written for [info]katemonkey, who asked for Ethan, Oz, and tattooing. This part has . . . Oz.

Title: Rocks and Water, part one
Rating: NC-17, eventually (this part PG)
Pairing and Setting: Oz/Ethan, post-"New Moon Rising"
Summary: It's quiet in the desert.

The desert is a natural extension of the inner silence of the body. If humanity's language, technology, and buildings are an extension of its constructive faculties, the desert alone is an extension of its capacity for absence, the ideal schema of humanity's disappearance. )

And by the way, happy birthday [info]phaelstya!

The Doctor was an inveterate underliner, a scribbler in margins, a very unpassive reader. Some of his oldest, most precious volumes in the TARDIS library were swamped by his commentaries from successive readings over the years. All of the Doctors had added their contributions--picking fights with the original author, then with each other as their various, hotly held opinions clashed and altered. To the Doctor his own books were the place his previous selves met in a busy, textual polyphony. All his books were dense palimpsests of gripes.
